While visiting my artistic daughter, Eryn, in DC, we visited the National Portrait Gallery. Oh, what a treat! If you are ever in our nation's capital, don't miss the "America's Presidents" or "The Sweat of Their Face: American Workers" exhibitions. One of my favorite paintings was of Ronald Reagan, our fortieth president (1981–1989), painted and given as a gift by Everett Raymond Kinstler in 1991. But the crowds were there to see the portrait of Barack Obama, painted by Kehinde Wiley, an African-American artist commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery.
