First things first — I owe you a hello! Life has been full to the brim lately, and somehow the newsletter kept getting pushed to tomorrow. But I'm here now, and I have so much to share. Read on — I think you'll find something that speaks to you.

Some flowers are just flowers. Peonies are something more.
Every Mother's Day growing up, my mom would give me a peony plant. With beautiful blooms — ruffled and lush and impossibly fragrant. I didn't know then that I was being handed a tradition.
Now, I grow them in a sunny little corner of my yard. And every spring, I give one to each of my girls.
When I paint peonies, I'm not just painting a flower. I'm painting my mom. I'm painting my daughters. I'm painting every May morning that smelled like this.
What's your favorite flower? Some things are worth putting on canvas — and keeping forever.

A Painting Made Just for You
I love creating custom pieces for people who want to preserve something they love — not a photograph, but something richer. Something that lives on a wall and pulls you back every time you walk by it.
What can I paint for you? Do any of these reasons check off on your to-do list:
🎁 The wedding gift
— Something they'll hang for decades, not re-gift next year.
🎂 The milestone birthday
— A big number deserves something that actually means something.
💌 The thank-you that says more
— When a card just won't cut it and you want them to feel it every time they see it.
Commissioned paintings also make unforgettable gifts for the people in your life who seem to have everything.
How does it work? It's easier than you'd think. Reach out, share some reference photos, and we'll talk through the details together. I handle the rest — painted in oils, one of a kind, made just for you.
I'd love to hear what you have in mind.

Sunflowers are bold, luminous, full of light. New Series Incoming.
I’m back from a high school Girl’s trip in the hill country of Texas. Old friends, lots of laughs, and somewhere along the way… a sunflower farm.
I stood in the middle of those fields and I just knew.
My peonies have bloomed out for the season, and I've been waiting for my next subject to find me. I thought it was coneflowers... but these golden beauties...I'm already dreaming about them in oils. This is my next series, and I could not be more excited. More to come soon.

Come On In: Original Art Is Waiting at the Studio
You may already know that my work is available at Cotswold Marketplace right here in Charlotte, and I love having a presence there. But my home studio... it is where paintings that 1) haven't made it to the shop yet, 2) are a work in progress canvases, or 3) pieces I'm holding onto a little longer — there's almost always a collection worth browsing here.
So if you're in the Charlotte area and looking for something special, give me a call and come by. We'll walk through what I have, talk about what you're drawn to, and find the right fit.
No pressure, no gallery formality. Just a painter who loves what she makes and wants it to find the right home.
On A Personal Note
Life is full and we are grateful for 2 beautiful grandkids, another birthday (it is big year for birthdays that end in a zero), our good health and time together.
Wishing you a beautiful Fourth of July. As we celebrate 250 years of this remarkable country, I'm feeling grateful for the freedoms we hold — including the freedom to make art and share it with you. That's not lost on me. Happy Birthday, America.
And thank you for your time and interest.
