Springtime brings warmer weather, growth, and hope! A season of new beginnings. I am hopeful.
With longer days now in Charlotte, our yard is abloom with plenty to paint. If you follow me on instagram @pattiratcliffeart you will see many happy spring flower paintings: hydrangea, viburnum, tulips, daffodils and soon, peonies.
We are tilling the garden for tomatoes and filling the pots on the patio. Now that we have had both vaccines, we can't wait to invite friends for a cookout.
And yes, there are many silver linings to appreciate: more time to study, learn and paint, more time with my 3 adult kids.... oxymoron? ha! Definitely more cooking.
Take a peek below at some of my new work.
May this new season bring you hope and good health.
Charlotte's proximity to the coast and mountains make it easy to take a painting road trip!
And it is so nice to paint outside!
