Practice Painting With Me This Fall.

Get in the habit of painting! Improve your skills. Enjoy the process.

Start by joining me for one or two dates this fall in Charlotte, NC.

Full-day, in-person painting painting workshop Friday, September 29th and/or

Friday, October 20th

Time: 9am - 4pm Cost: $170 per day

Location: Myers Park Presbyterian Church Wellness Center 1073 Providence Rd., Charlotte, North Carolina 28207

10 students max

All levels are welcome. I teach in oil but students are welcome to use acrylic or pastel. In the event you need to cancel, a refund will be issued only if your spot is filled. Exploring painting from direct observation is a valuable way to learn. Artists will choose which still life set up they prefer to paint. There will be a short demonstration as we review the basics including composition, values, edges, color and brush strokes. Each artist will get individual attention according to their level and desire. The process taught transfers to any subject, starting with identifying large shapes, and down to the details in the focal areas. Learn to see these basic shapes and how best to compose the layout on the blank canvas. Bring a lunch or snack. Take a break or work right on through the day. Hope you can join us for a fun filled day of creativity.

As the kids go back to school, it is a good time to get inspired to paint.

Jacob, the owner, is a fine artist himself and this unique retail spot doubles as a gallery for a few hand-selected artists, as well as for other handcrafted items for the body and the home. Their mission says it well....cultivate a community for artists and makers to gather, learn and grow their creative callings.
